I explore the delicate balance between control and uncertainty, using vintage writings and collective memories. These fragments serve as portals, bridging the past and present, channeling emotions tied to loss, and shaping new narratives of resilience. What do we leave behind, and how do those fragments shape what comes next? They honor people’s stories and who they once were. They serve as an echo memorializing our history that got us to this point of life. Pauses, like the rests in a hymn, invite reflection on absence as much as presence. How do we carry forward the weight of memory while allowing space for transformation? These layered histories—both physical and emotional—shape our ability to rebuild, adapt, and grow. Through this process, I seek to connect deeply personal experiences with shared truths, asking: How do we reconcile what fades with what endures?
