I have always been fascinated with success and achievement. I imagined that when I achieved both, I would feel and live in this euphoric or nirvana state. However, I realize that I may be chasing a moment, feeling, and sensation that is not real.
We find comfort in the constant drone of life, often allowing moments, changes, objects, or ideas to slip away and transform us without our awareness. We’re driven to create and chase new goals, believing success is near. Yet, this sense of achievement never arrives, nothing more than an illusion to keep us permanently searching. The desire and labor for this sensation of success has become a hypnotic hum deteriorating and corroding us through an endless pursuit of accomplishment.
Something is alluring about the idea of attaining success and achievement. Perhaps we will finally feel fulfilled and experience euphoria. It tells us to come in, keep going, and never stop.
