The series THERE IS NOWHERE TO RETURN TO was made for use in Morana – a painted top-down roleplaying game about a necromancer and the undead he meets. The necromancer’s most loyal friend and ghoul, The Crone, was buried in Sorell, thousands of miles away from her birthplace in Krāsnieka. As a girl, she was separated from her mother and homeland when Krāsnieka restricted communication and travel to other countries. By the time the restrictions were lifted, her mother had died and Krāsnieka as she knew it was gone. Since then, The Crone’s spirit has been restless. If the tradition she was from still existed, she could be put to rest, but unless it resurfaces, she cannot pass on.
